STEP 2
CONTRACTING

If you do not have your insurance license yet, you should complete all of the items listed below, but do not submit the Contracting Packet until you have received your insurance license.

Complete the
4 TASKS below to have your Contracting documents submitted to the carriers, full access to the Equis Agent Dashboard, and access to the Equis Lead System.

1. Purchase Errors & Omissions Insurance (E&O)
  • This insurance helps to protect against claims arising from the sale and servicing of insurance products.
  • We recommend using the NAPA, National Association of Professional Agents.  You can access their information HERE and clicking on the Life & Health Agent E&O button.
  • Reminder: For any of the annuity carriers your E&O also needs additional coverage for fixed/indexed annuities.
2. Complete your Contracting Packet / Carrier Contracting Profile
  • Michael will reach out to you, and get this sent over to you.
3. Buy an EQUIS badge and Activity Tracker here
  • Wear an Equis Financial lanyard with a picture of you AND your license number
    • Purchase an Equis branded lanyard from the Equis store found in your agent dashboard.
    • If you don't want to buy an activity tracker right now, you can download it; you will eventually want to buy one though.
4. Add these 4 supporting documents to your contracting profile:

  • Direct Deposit Form or voided check

6. Surancebay Emails (These emails will come 24-48 hours AFTER submitting your contracting profile to your manager.)
  • > Surancebay is the online system we use to transmit your contracting info to each carrier.
  • >You will receive several emails from Equis as an invitation to contract with our carriers and answer carrier specific questions for background purposes.
  • > After your Contracting Packet is APPROVED, you will receive emails through Surancebay to confirm each carrier contract. You must open and confirm each email
